Ida's Vet Visit
Ida had her teeth cleaned today and it only cost an arm and half a leg. And considering that she only has 6 teeth left, those are some mighty expensive pearly whites.
She had 8 teeth removed shortly after I adopted her and since then its been a few teeth more every year. We don't know if it is due to a congenital problem, or poor nutrition when she was a kitten (on the streets), but her teeth just go bad under the gum-line.
She didn't have any teeth removed today, but we are watching one tooth that could be a problem down the road. But even if she lost all her teeth, she'd still be my little sweetie toothless wonder cat. She doesn't seem to miss them, she eats both wet and dry food and carries toys around in her mouth.
This isn't a new picture - it was taken about 2 years ago. I brought home this ball from Guatemala, and she likes to gnaw on it (yeah, I know -strange cat). Its covered in rope and I think it feels good when she rubs her gums against it.
