People sure had sex before 1933, but the conspiracy theory bullshit he is talking about was particularily popular that year in my country, leading to a political situation, that made the next twelve years unforgettable. A sane, rational person surely wouldn't spout the same nonsense rethoric. I can only hope for this Bishop Babini, that he is getting a little, er, confused in his advancing years and that this is not the official stance of his church on the whole subject. Anything else is too despicable to contemplate.
That's what I don't get. If the Catholic Church came out and said "we are sorry, we made mistakes and we are working on a solution", people would be a lot more sympathetic. Instead they blame everyone who seems like an easy scapegoat and then jump to the next when called on it. So senseless and counterproductive. *shakes head*
