Thank you! My Jack is often clueless, but most of the time he does mean well. He just isn't always able to read Ianto. And as a conman (who relies on his skill in being able to play people) it must be terribly bewildering. So a good part of Jack/Ianto miscommunication in my stories comes from Ianto being so emotionally restrained.
