I absolutely adored your story, what a great AU, it fitted so well with our characters.
And I often hate OC's, but all the Brigadiers family were great and I was fascinated by the lives of the Torchwood and Jones descendants. I also loved all the details you put in (although can I just say your Stats are still not totally accurate, Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland. That's not in the UK, which is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland only. The description of British Isles would cover it though or UK and Ireland is probaby the easiest).
Oh Damien Lewis as the Doctor, yum.... What a fab idea!
But what I loved most of all is how you did all the characterisations and relationships, Owen and Tosh would have to hate Torchwood for killing Kim and it was great that you didn't sugarcoat that. And I loved that Jack was always vain, Owen always sarky, Gwen always interfering because of her love for the others etc. Most of all though I loved how you wrote Jack and Ianto and John and Aaron and even Geoffrey - the move for Jack and Ianto to Ianto and Aaron was really believable as was the return to Jack and Ianto after Aaron's death. That was such a hard balance and you did it perfectly. And how you wrote the older Ianto and Jack and Ianto's failing health, it never got over sentimental, but it was real, again not sugarcoating the realities. And Jack's rememberance of Ianto afterwards... I am in tears at your ending.
Ok, I'm going to stop gushing, def adding to memories here.
