THE GOOD
Scotland - Loved it! Had incredibly not typical Scotland weather - fairly warm, almost no rain. It rained a little our first day in Edinburgh and unfortunately it poured when we were at Bannockburn. I would have preferred a little more emphasis on pre-Christian ruins and medieval history and less on the Jacobite period, but you can't do everything in two weeks. The group was very nice, the food was better than expected (except I had no idea that so much would require tinkering due to not eating pork or dairy), the wine - well, let's just say that a fair quantity was consumed. I'll put up a few pictures when I finally get things sorted at home.
Home - Kitties are fine. They had a visit from my BFF, in addition to the cat sitter and cat sitter's Mom. They were a bit clingy yesterday, but we seem to be getting back to normal behavior (no, Ida, you don't have to follow me into the bathroom to make sure that I don't disappear when the door is closed). My laundry is done, my mail is sorted, I've vacuumed and bought some groceries. I need to straighten up a bit more, and the kitchen floor needs washing but I'll still have time to have some fun this weekend.
THE NOT GOOD
My Hand - I didn't touch a keyboard the whole trip except to answer one email. My fingers are no better. So I have an appointment with a hand surgeon two weeks from now. I really, really don't want surgery. I'm hoping that we can try some 'real' physical therapy first. But its got to be addressed as I'm now running the risk of permanent muscle atrophy if I don't get the nerve loosened up. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and the v-gifts!
Work - Apparently everyone took an extra dose of naughty pills while I was gone. My assistant had a really bad two weeks. - I felt so guilty I bought her two presents. I'm not looking forward to Monday.
THE REALLY BIZARRE
So I'm reading stories and catching up on LJ. And in response to a story about Ianto getting glasses, I wanted to find a picture of GDL I've seen wearing glasses. I found one, sort of. Look! He's got plot bunnies on his feet!

But the really bizarre thing - when I googled "Gareth-David-Lloyd eyeglasses" off to the side was this ad:

Color me amused. Any strange news on the Miracle Whip front?
Any must see/read items on LJ for the last 2 weeks? LJ make any earth shattering/really silly/outrageous announcements?
