*gentle hugs* i'm so sorry you're sick, love. specially at the worst possible time.... I am however, very very very glad that your family is doing well. I've had terrible experiences with cancer, and I wish you and your family the best in that regards.... i hope everything goes well with them.
also, i think kitties know and understand when their owner is sick... mine used to be like that. if i was sick he'd just curl up next to me and be all comforting. :) give it time, once you're better, they'll be back to their adorably irritating catlike ways. :)
