We love the snow!  It makes life so exciting.  The commute to work wasn't too bad...I'll love it if I can get home from work tonight.

Meanwhile, the cats are enjoying the snow the way only cats can:

Ida likes to watch the snow especially when it comes off the lake. She'll watch it in the room closest to the lake and then run to the next room to see where it went.  Yeah, she's cute, but not the brightest bulb on the porch. Here she is sitting on the heater and enjoying the view.

.

Meanwhile Teddy never let's the snow bother him.  Hey its always a good time for a nap at our house. He is my smart Tasmanian Devil cat.  He's either full go or full stop.  Or full yawn.

Hope everyone is safe and warm!

Thank you. Can you believe that both my cats were street strays?

Ida is a little shy but once she gets to know you, she's very sweet.

Teddy can be sweet too. Lot's of head bumps and kitty kisses especially when he wants something (like food). But if its a 'do not want' moment (like nail cutting or pilling) he is a very bad kitty. He has to get a tranquilizer before going to the vet, while Ida marches out her carrier looks at the vet, puts her butt in the air with her 'you may pet my royal bum now."

My Rose (see icon) was taken off the street at about four months of age. She was raised by a family that couldn't keep her, and ended up in a "group home" with fourteen other cats. She was awfully shy, and the owners decided she deserved a shot at a home where she'd get more attention. I adopted her from the shelter for which I was volunteering at the time. My post about that is here. If you want to read more about her, the tag is "rose cat," but it gets pretty sad since it covers her illness and last days. (Not bad for her -- she didn't suffer much at all -- but hard for her peoples.)

Missy (who I need an icon for) is a big tabby-and-white who I adopted at about four weeks of age. She's now thirteen and around thirteen pounds. Rose was her companion for twelve years. Missy missed her initially, but I think that then she realized that she could get a LOT more attention. She proceeded to make sure that she did. My post about getting her in the first place is here. She doesn't like going to the vet either, but once she's there she's docile, if not overly cooperative.

Yay snow! I love snow although we dont normally get it here, however when we do I LOVE it.

You cats are soooo adorable.. and they like the snow awwww.

Our previouse dog (staffy cross mastiff) used to love hail and would run across the garden and slide on his bum on the hail. *when It hails we tend to have quite a bit of it*

I'd love to say cats are like people, but they're not. They're like cats, a little bit crazy but certainly keep you on your toes.

I vacillate between "I love cats" and "If cats looked like frogs then everyone would realise what evil beasts they are". It depends on if i been bawled out for not providing food right this instant or if a lovely purry creature has sat in my lap for a good stroking. LOL

Stay safe in the snow, it gets bad round your way I've heard.

I hear ya.

Evil beasts - my favorite is coming home one night to find my kitchen floor crunchy. Turn on the lights to discover that Teddy has managed to open a cabinet, grab a nickel bag of capnip, rip it open and fling the contents all over the kitchen.

I see Ida standing at the edge of the kitchen looking in all innocent. "Not me mom, I had nothing to do with this her face says." It would have been a little more convincing if she hadn't had CATNIP ON THE TOP OF HER HEAD!!

Angel cats: Stay home sick from work and they spend the entire day snoozing in bed with me, only leaving for potty breaks.
