Here's what Rush had to say for himself when a caller challenged his original statements about not giving aid to Haiti:
From the Think Progress Web Site:
http://thinkprogress.org/2010/01/14/limbaugh-haiti-tampons/

My comments in blue

RUSH: No, I’m not evading it at all. If I said it I meant to say it, and I do believe that everything is political to this president. Everything this president sees is a political opportunity, including Haiti, and he will use it to burnish his credentials with minorities in this country and around the world, and to accuse Republicans of having no compassion. [...] (Obama is political? And your King George didn't politicize every government agency, filling them with cronies and industry insiders. From the DOE, to the DOJ to the FDA and FEMA, people were chosen based on their political connections, not experience in the field.)

CALLER: [A]re you implying that the Huffington Post as the one and only resource that I [read]? I even watch Fox News once in a while.

RUSH: No, no, no, no, no. I’m not implying that. … What I’m illustrating here is that you’re a blockhead. What I’m illustrating here is that you’re a closed-minded bigot who is ill-informed. … And if you had listened to this program for a modicum of time you would know it. But instead you’re a blockhead. You’re mind is totally closed. You have tampons in your ears. Nothing is getting through other than the biased crap that you read. (Rush should stick some tampons in his ears before his shit for brains run out).

Limbaugh also pointed out that it took Obama “three days to go out and talk about the Christmas Day underwear bomber,” but “less than 18 hours to get out there and start rallying people about this earthquake.” (And how long did it take King George to get any substantial aid to our own citizens in New Orleans? Wasn't the then head of FEMA's main organizational experience running a Polo Association?)

And Glenn Beck, Fox newscaster didn't want to be left out of the conversation:

BECK: I also believe this is dividing the nation…to where the nation sees him react so rapidly on Haiti and yet he couldn’t react rapidly on Afghanistan. He couldn’t react rapidly on Ft. Hood. He couldn’t react rapidly on our own airplanes with an underwear bomber…it doesn’t make sense. [...] Three different events and Haiti is the only one. I think personally that it deepens he divide to see him react this rapidly to Haiti. (What divide? Racial? Political? Hey Glenn, when everyone from The Heritage Foundation to Bill O'Reilly and Laura Ingraham disagree with you and Rush, you're probably in the Humanity!FAIL zone).

Sexist? Racist? **So stupid all you can do is shake your head?  That's my opinion.

** This opinion has not been endorsed by the National Organization for Women, The Urban League, President Obama (though I'm guessing he agrees with me), or my mother.

I'm always impressed when right-to-lifers show such compassion for the already-born.*

Limbaugh

Speaking on his radio show Wednesday, Limbaugh said the earthquake has played into Obama’s hands, allowing the president to look “compassionate” and “humanitarian” while at the same time bolstering his standing in both the “light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country.”

He added: “We've already donated to Haiti. It’s called the U.S. income tax.”

Pat Robertson

Speaking about the disaster during his program “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network, Robertson said that when Haiti was still a French colony its leaders “swore a pact to the devil” to get out from “under the heel of the French.”

“They said, ‘we will serve you if you will get us free from the French.’ True story. And so, the devil said, ‘OK, it’s a deal,’” Robertson claimed, as was recorded and sent around by the liberal group Media Matters.

“But ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other,” he continued. “That island of Hispaniola is one island. It is cut down the middle on the one side is Haiti the other is the Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, etc. Haiti is in desperate poverty.”

Robertson, who has a long history of making controversial remarks on his program, urged his followers to pray for the residents of Haiti and said that “out of this tragedy I’m optimistic something good may come.”

Here's a list (US oriented) of charities that are operating in Haiti.  Almost all are set up for online donations.
